Anna Jay: 8 Things About The Dark Order Recruit’s Career And Personal Life

1. She began with Georgia Premier Wrestling in 2019:

Jernigan made her professional wrestling debut on November 22, 2019 at a Georgia Premier Wrestling event, where under the ring name Anna Jay she was defeated by Shalandra Royal via disqualification. On December 20 at Holiday Havoc 2019, Jay teamed with Robin and was defeated by Shalandra Royal and Thunder Blonde in a tag team match. On January 17, 2020 at Edge of Darkness, Jay got her first victory after defeating Thunder Blonde.

2. From independent wrestling to television, Anna talks about the difference:

“I would say the biggest difference was when we started shooting in Jacksonville and there was no audience. I mean honestly, it reminded me of when I was training, so it was almost easier for me to start that way, because I wasn’t used to having a big crowd or the audience reacting. So when I started, and there was no audience, there were just the fighters, it was almost like training, so I think I actually felt more comfortable”.

“Now, the transition from no audience in the pandemic to sold-out stadiums, it’s been crazy! It’s so much better, it’s so great to see you all. It’s so great to hear from everyone. And it definitely makes what we’re doing that much more enjoyable. It was a great transition”, she continued.

3. Her All Elite Wrestling career since 2020:

On April 1, 2020, Jay made his first appearance on All Elite Wrestling Dynamite facing Hikaru Shida, where Jay lost to coverage. “Shida, the last time we fought, you took advantage of a rookie,” said Anna Jay. “Well, next Wednesday, let me introduce myself again, the new Anna Jay, number 99,” she emphasized.

In 9 fights played in AEW, Anna Jay has five wins and four losses. On the other hand, the young athlete also used her Twitter account to refer to her first year as a fighter.

“I made my professional wrestling debut a year ago. This Wednesday I have a fight for the AEW Women’s Championship title. I’m not taking it lightly,” said Anna Jay.

Despite returning, she was defeated by Penelope Ford. After a break of about three months, Anna Jay made her return in the episode of Dynamite on June 17, 2020, becoming the protagonist of a promo in which she claimed to be the star of the show; She was later easily defeated by Abadon, but at the end of the meeting she was joined and aided by Brodie Lee, head of the Dark Order.
